Yup. The general consensus is correct: I am brain damaged.
Not really, but it's a strange vision in my head of what was described. I have had dizziness, vertigo, one-sided headaches, one-sided feelings of pressure, loss of feeling in my fingers and toes and funky sparkly things in my vision and the recent blood trickling from the ear. The doctor tells me that they've found what appears to be a venous angioma. She said that it's typically benign, but a nurse also told me that anything off kilter in the brain is going to cause some upset in other things (ie: the symptoms listed).
Doc says that the next step is to check on any possible inner ear trauma. That appointment is scheduled for August 22nd. After that, they will set me up with a neurologist to see if I will need follow-up treatment. The nurse says shrinking it is a possibility, but everything I'm reading sggests that might not be a possibility, due to the high risk of a bleed.
I have found the comments of some other people who have had a similar diagnosis as well as similar symptoms - ALL the same symptoms.
If anyone knows anything about this sort of thing, as related to the symptoms I've listed, please let me know. I'd appreciate your input.
